VSOP – a legally protected  Austrian utility model (GM 2630).
   Short description of invention:
PROGRAM LOGIC FOR CONTROLLING COMMANDS OF AN APPLICATION SOFTWARE

A method for controlling the commands of an application software, e.g. of a business software for banks or the like, in a client-server environment with a predefinable operating system, using several base-client functions (BCF) as interfaces to the application software and several service-client functions (SCF) as interfaces to the system-related components. At least one predefined service-client function is allocated to each base-client function, and at least one specific base-client function is asynchronously called and executed by a central program control in connection with the allocated service-client function; the functions are implemented on a predefined transport layer of the operating systems, and predefined service-client functions use specific functions of the transport layer. A command in the application software is executed using a function bar, in which the processing sequence of base-client functions is defined. By creating and using these neutral interfaces, one can minimize the effort for project-specific adjustments and conversions to a different operating system.
